College Park Staff

These are the friendly folks who you see when you come to the airport to fly

Lee Schiek is the airport manager. A long time Park Police officer, he was coaxed into leading the College Park airport when the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission took over the airport, and he hasn't been able to get away from it since!
Sean served as the manager of the operations staff at the airport from 2006-2009, and is BACK!. Prior to his arrival in the DC area, he was a honcho at Sea Air, in Pine Island, NC.
Josh is an Air Force ROTC cadet studying physics at the University of Maryland. He hails from "the good life" in state of Nebraska (Go Big Red!). His interests in aviation and prospect as a U.S. Air Force pilot led him to the airport and has never looked back since. His work here at the airport has been cited in numerous national publications, including AOPA Pilot Magazine.
Langston stumbled across the airport one day when his big government job got to him. He still works here on weekends, years later.
Paul is the primary airframe and powerplant mechanic, for Keystone Helicopters, working on the Prince George's County Police helicopters at the other end of the field. He is a frequent presence at our end of the field at the beginning and end of the day.
Nicole has been hanging out around the College Park Airport ever since she was a little kid. She has finally realized her lifetime dream of working here. Just in case it's not a lifetime career for her, she's also studying Environmental Policy across the street at UMD.

Friends of the Airport

Joe is a pilot and flight instructor who flies into the airport frequently, and liked the place so much, that he decided to help out for awhile. He is the webmaster for this webpage.
Jack is the president of the College Park Airport Society, as well as the charter pilot for the airport manager. He can be found at the airport pretty much every afternoon, and also plays the critical role of maintaining the M&M jar.
Lee (the other one) is the local Airport Support Network volunteer for College Park.
Edna is a longtime pilot who now manages the internal landscaping here at the airport!
Sean served as the manager of the operations staff at the airport from 2006-2009. Prior to his arrival in the DC area, he was a honcho at Sea Air, in Pine Island, NC. Now that he is finished with his degree at the University of Maryland, he'll have enough money to buy and sell the rest of us.
