Please note the sign in the weather briefing room regarding lost flight plans and circuitous routings from ATC. If you have a lost flight plan, or get a bizarre routing from Potomac TRACON that takes you unduly out of your way, please let the staff know ASAP. They are tracking these incidents, so that the underlying issues can be addressed. If we don't know about it, we can't help you.

Please be careful for deer on the field, particularly around sunrise, and just before or after sunset. Incoming aircraft should announce on the CTAF as soon as possible. This will give the airport operations staff time to sweep the runway for you, if necessary. This may mean using Comm #1 to talk to Potomac, and Comm #2 to talk on the CTAF. That's part of why we give you the pertinent weather information over the CTAF, to save you a step when switching frequencies!
